Site Engineer - Nuclear Submarine Construction Yard

About the role

Laing O'Rourke, together with its joint venture partner Amentum Australia, is supporting the Australian Naval Infrastructure (ANI) programme to deliver the Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard (NPSCY) at Osborne, South Australia. It is looking for a Site Engineer to join the AUKUS team on this project.

Key responsibilities

• Manage subcontractor packages, contractor performance and project interfaces
• Coordinate planning, scheduling and delivery against project milestones
• Review designs and technical requirements, and manage RFIs through to closeout
• Maintain project records, engineering systems and digital engineering tools
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and support continuous development

Required profile

• A minimum of 2 years' construction or engineering project experience
• Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical or Electrical) or Construction Management, or equivalent
• Understanding of design, specifications, subcontractor management, technical direction, issue resolution, quality assurance and site reporting
• Australian citizenship and ability to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance at NV1 level
