Site Engineer - Foundations

About the role

ACCIONA is hiring a Site Engineer for Foundations to plan and manage foundation construction across assigned work fronts on a regional project in Melbourne. The project delivers a new 500 kV double-circuit transmission line connecting more than 3,000 MW of renewable generation to the grid, covering earthworks, access tracks, tower foundations, steel supply and erection, logistics and regional camp accommodation. The engineer reports to the Senior Project Engineer, Foundations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage foundation construction across assigned work fronts
• Coordinate excavation, piling, drilling, reinforcement and concrete placement
• Prepare work packs, methodologies and inspection and test plans
• Resolve RFIs and technical queries with design teams
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, plant and workforce for foundation works
• Verify survey set-out, quality inspections, testing and hold points
• Monitor progress, geotechnical conditions and non-conformances, and escalate issues

Required profile

• Civil, structural or construction engineering qualification
• Experience as a Site, Project or Civil Engineer on major projects
• Delivered foundation works such as piles, piers or anchors
• Sound geotechnical knowledge and engineering drawing skills
• Desirable: experience on transmission, renewables, utilities or mining projects
