About the role
Egis Group is seeking a Signalling Design Engineer to join its Railways and Systems team in Adelaide. You will contribute to the design, review and commissioning of signalling systems for major rail projects across Australia and New Zealand.
Key responsibilities
- Produce high‑level signalling documentation such as user requirements, control tables, aspect sequence charts, system architecture and cable plans.
- Design trackside signalling assets, SCADA/telemetry, train detection, level crossings, traction return and interlocking systems.
- Check and verify signalling designs and infrastructure assets, and lead design teams on minor to medium projects.
- Test, commission and maintain signalling and supporting systems.
- Participate in bids and tenders, providing technical advice and documentation.
Required profile
- 5+ years of experience in railway signalling with specialist knowledge of conventional signal design.
- Relevant tertiary engineering qualification (Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics or similar).
- Accreditation from Engineers Australia; IRSE membership highly desired.
- Familiarity with Australian railway standards and guidelines.
