Shipbuilding Scheduler

About the role

Austal, Australia's global shipbuilder and defence prime contractor, is hiring a Scheduler based in Henderson. The role develops, maintains and analyses detailed shipbuilding schedules for the contracted scope of work, keeping activities logically sequenced, resource-aligned where needed and integrated with program-level milestones and delivery commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and control detailed shipbuilding schedules for the contracted scope of work in line with approved planning standards.
• Provide accurate performance measurement reporting to internal and external stakeholders, regularly and on demand.
• Forecast labour resources accurately across all active projects.
• Run "what if" projects to map the impact of potential future projects or changes to current ones.
• Support new Primavera P6 users in understanding the software and setting up layouts.

Required profile

• Experience in shipbuilding, defence or complex manufacturing.
• Eligibility for a Defence Security Clearance.

Required skills

• Primavera P6 literacy with 2+ years' experience.
• Competence with Microsoft Office.
