About the role
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Ship Agency Operator to join our Port Hedland team. Based in the world’s largest bulk export port, you will support vessel operations and ensure smooth communication between ships, port authorities and internal stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate vessel arrivals, berthing, loading and departures in collaboration with all port stakeholders.
- Manage a high volume of emails and maintain data across multiple systems (SEDNA, Excel, Teams, WASP, ESS (ICE), ICS, MARS, Klein, Logistics Connect).
- Board vessels to assist with operations and maintain clear communication on‑board.
- Handle confidential information and incident reporting with professionalism.
- Interact with international crews and diverse stakeholders, providing excellent customer service.
- Work on a rotating shift pattern to meet operational demands.
Required profile
- Motivated, reliable and comfortable working at heights and boarding vessels.
- Strong computer literacy and ability to process large volumes of email.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
- Willingness to take ownership and deliver results in a fast‑paced setting.
