Sheet Metal Fabricator

About the role

A well-established custom metal fabrication specialist in Penrith is looking for a Sheet Metal Fabricator to carry out high-quality light sheet metal fabrication across a range of custom projects. Working as part of a skilled workshop team, you will help fabricate bespoke metal components and structures to a high standard of quality and finish.

Key responsibilities

• Work across sheet metal, tube, plate and beam fabrication
• Cut, mark out, fold, form and bend materials
• Perform basic machining and metalworking to a high standard
• TIG, MIG and laser welding (predominantly TIG)
• Work with a variety of metals across custom projects
• Follow job specifications and instructions accurately

Required profile

• 3-4+ years' experience in light metal fabrication
• Strong skills in basic fabrication and metalworking techniques
• Experience with TIG welding (essential)
• Ability to read and follow instructions accurately
• High attention to detail, pride in workmanship, strong work ethic and willingness to learn

What we offer

• Pay of $40-$47 per hour plus super and overtime, based on skill and experience
• Permanent full-time role with Monday-Friday hours (7:00-15:30) and no weekend work
