Bus Service Technician - Bus Air Conditioning

About the role

QTK Group is hiring a Field Service Technician to maintain, repair and install refrigeration systems on buses for its customers. The role is based out of the Penrith workshop in Sydney and involves hands-on, on-site work with customers. It suits people who enjoy autonomy, working alone and taking ownership of their day.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventative maintenance, repairs and installations of bus air-conditioning units
• Diagnose and troubleshoot refrigeration issues
• Install new refrigeration systems and components
• Keep accurate records of all work completed
• Deliver good customer service and build relationships with clients
• Work safely and follow industry standards and regulations

Required profile

• Experience as a transport refrigeration mechanic is highly regarded; automotive electrical background and some air conditioning experience are also welcome
• Bus or transport industry experience is a bonus, though training and development support is provided
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Good communication skills with customers and colleagues
• Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on field service work
• Current driver's licence and willingness to travel to client sites
