Service Technician

About the role

This is a hands‑on, field‑based position where you will travel to client sites around Brisbane (and occasionally regional Queensland) to test, certify, service and repair specialist laboratory equipment. No prior experience is required – we will train you in NATA‑accredited methods and support you to obtain the relevant certification.

Key responsibilities

• Test, certify, service and repair biosafety cabinets, fume cupboards, centrifuges, incubators, ultra‑low‑temperature freezers, particle counters and other lab equipment.
• Travel to client locations, manage daily schedules and work unsupervised.
• Follow NATA‑accredited procedures and maintain accurate service records.
• Respond to after‑hours call‑outs and overtime work as needed.

Required profile

• Background in electrical, instrumentation, HVAC/refrigeration, biomedical or a related technical trade.
• Self‑motivated, methodical and able to see tasks through without supervision.
• Professional client interaction and strong pride in quality workmanship.

Required skills

• Current driver’s licence.
• Ability to obtain a Blue Card and required vaccinations.
• Basic computer skills (experience with Simpro is a plus).
• HVAC/refrigeration experience or a restricted/limited electrical licence is advantageous.
