Service Site Manager - Uungula Wind Farm

About the role

The Service Site Manager is accountable for the safe, efficient and cost-effective operation and maintenance of the Uungula Wind Farm in NSW. The role leads a team of wind technicians and technical contractors, ensures compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards, optimizes turbine performance and availability and acts as the main contact between corporate operations, the customer, contractors and local stakeholders. It is based locally at the wind farm, 14 km east of Wellington.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily wind farm operations, including planned and unplanned maintenance, troubleshooting and inspections
• Monitor turbine performance metrics and maximize uptime and energy production
• Coordinate with the remote operations centre and respond promptly to alarms and turbine faults
• Supervise, schedule and support a team of wind technicians and support personnel, providing training, coaching and performance evaluations
• Ensure full compliance with HSE standards, conduct safety meetings, audits and incident investigations, and enforce safety protocols for site personnel and contractors
• Serve as the primary site contact for landowners, customers, vendors and local authorities
• Work with engineering, asset management and project teams on upgrades, retrofits and special projects
• Manage site budgets, procurement and inventory of parts and tools, and report regularly on site performance, maintenance and safety

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of relevant service experience
• At least 3 additional years of experience in customer service management
• At least 3 years' experience in customer service or site management
• Background in managing mechanical or electrical projects
• Experience in wind farm operations and maintenance is preferred
