Server Support Engineer – Australia

About the role

We are seeking a technically skilled Server Support Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team in Australia. You will maintain, monitor and optimise Windows and Linux server environments, ensuring reliability, security and performance of business‑critical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain and support Windows and Linux servers.
• Monitor performance, health and resource utilisation to maximise uptime.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, OS and server‑related incidents.
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and user permissions.
• Perform patch management, security hardening and routine updates.
• Support backup, disaster recovery and business continuity processes.
• Deploy, migrate and upgrade servers, applications and infrastructure components.
• Administer virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper‑V or Proxmox.
• Collaborate with cloud, network and security teams to maintain a stable environment.
• Maintain technical documentation, asset inventories and system configurations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Legally authorised to work in Australia.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
