SEO Specialist

About the role

MECCA is looking for an SEO Specialist to boost its digital presence across traditional and emerging search channels. Reporting to the Search & Discovery Manager, you will work closely with eCommerce, product, and content teams to deliver growth and improve the customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute SEO/AEO/GEO strategies in partnership with the Search & Discovery Manager.
• Monitor performance benchmarks, report on organic search metrics and provide actionable insights.
• Coordinate SEO activities with internal stakeholders, including eCommerce, Content, and Product teams.
• Collaborate with paid search teams to create a holistic search strategy.
• Manage MECCA’s store listings on Google, Bing, Apple and keep information up‑to‑date.
• Conduct technical audits, competitor analysis and content gap reviews to identify growth opportunities.
• Produce content calendars and article briefs aligned with search trends and seasonal peaks.
• Train and support internal teams to raise SEO/AEO/GEO knowledge across the organisation.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of SEO best practices and AEO/GEO tactics.
• Experience with paid search integration for holistic SEO/SEM strategies.
• Proficiency in analytical tools such as Google Analytics 4, Screaming Frog, Search Console, Google Business Profile, Keyword Planner, SEMRush.
• Familiarity with content management systems (Sitecore preferred).
