SEO Specialist

About the role

David Jones is looking for an SEO Specialist to turn search intent into meaningful customer journeys at scale. You will work within the Omni Digital team in Melbourne, shaping organic visibility for one of Australia’s most recognised retail brands.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute on‑page, off‑page and technical SEO strategies to grow organic visibility across the davidjones.com catalogue.
• Conduct keyword research, content‑gap analysis and competitive benchmarking to shape the digital content roadmap.
• Partner with merchandising, content and development teams to embed SEO requirements in site updates and product launches.
• Monitor, analyse and report organic performance using tools such as Google Search Console, SEMrush or equivalent platforms.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an SEO specialist or similar role, preferably in a large e‑commerce or retail environment.
• Strong analytical ability to translate data into clear, prioritised recommendations.
• Excellent written communication skills for briefing content creators and presenting insights to non‑technical stakeholders.
