SEO & Paid Ads Account Manager (Melbourne)

About the role

Design Point Digital is a Melbourne-based web design and digital marketing agency offering high-performing websites, SEO and paid advertising. It is looking for a Digital Marketing Account Manager to manage client relationships and coordinate the delivery of its SEO and paid advertising campaigns. The role is hybrid, based in the South Yarra office, and is open to Melbourne-based applicants only; overseas and fully remote applicants will not be considered.

The account manager leads client meetings, explains campaign performance and manages priorities and follow-up across a team of four SEO specialists, working alongside paid ad specialists and the wider creative and development team. Day-to-day campaign optimisation is not the responsibility of the account manager, but practical knowledge is needed to review recommendations, question results and ensure clients receive clear updates and agreed deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for assigned SEO and paid advertising clients.
• Lead regular phone, video and face-to-face meetings to discuss results, concerns and next steps.
• Review campaign reports and explain performance in clear, non-technical language.
• Manage priorities, workloads and deadlines across the four SEO specialists.
• Coordinate with PPC specialists, copywriters, designers and developers.
• Check completed work against agreed campaign plans and client deliverables.
• Follow up clients for content approvals, feedback, information and access.
• Identify performance concerns and work with specialists to agree on actions.
• Keep project management systems, meeting notes and client actions up to date.
• Improve reporting, communication and delivery processes as the agency grows.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in a digital agency, account management or digital marketing role.
• Experience managing multiple client accounts and recurring campaign deliverables.
• Experience coordinating or supervising a team, setting priorities and holding team members accountable for deadlines and quality.
• Melbourne-based and able to attend the South Yarra office, with some hybrid flexibility.

Required skills

• Strong working knowledge of SEO and Google Ads, able to review recommendations and question campaign performance.
• Ability to read and interpret Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console and Semrush reports.
• Understanding of key performance metrics such as rankings, organic traffic, leads, conversions, cost per lead and ROAS.
• Bonus: hands-on SEO or Google Ads experience, WordPress/WooCommerce or Shopify knowledge, Meta Ads familiarity, and experience coordinating copywriters, designers and developers.
