Influencer Marketing Account Director

About the role

Theory Crew is seeking an Influencer Marketing Account Director to lead its influencer offering and shape strategic direction for creator‑led campaigns. Reporting to the Head of PR, you will be the senior day‑to‑day contact for clients, integrating influencer programmes with PR, social, paid media, events and activations.

Key responsibilities

• Set strategic direction for influencer programs and ensure quality, profitability and client retention.
• Lead high‑impact influencer campaigns, handling talent sourcing, negotiations and creator relationships.
• Mentor and coach a talented team, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Manage client budgets, revenue targets and commercial negotiations.
• Contribute to new‑business pitches and grow existing accounts.

Required profile

• 5+ years of influencer marketing experience in an agency environment.
• Deep knowledge of the Australian creator landscape with established relationships.
• Proven track record of meeting KPI targets across multiple client campaigns.
• Strong commercial mindset with experience negotiating fees, usage rights and paid amplification.
• Excellent relationship‑building, communication and leadership abilities.

Required skills

• Understanding of Australian advertising codes and disclosure requirements.
• Data literacy – ability to interpret reach, engagement, EMV, CPE and conversion metrics.
