Senior Web Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Web Engineer at Dovetail you will own the end‑to‑end experience of dovetail.com, turning creative concepts into high‑quality, accessible web pages while evolving the underlying platform.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain production health, technical roadmap and architecture of the marketing website.
• Build responsive, accessible, production‑grade pages and interactions that preserve design intent.
• Improve reusable components, design tokens, typed content models and authoring workflows for rapid, safe launches.
• Partner with Demand Generation and Growth to optimise landing pages, forms, personalisation and conversion experiments.
• Enhance Core Web Vitals, page weight, image delivery, metadata, structured data and deployment reliability.
• Develop AI‑powered web functions, coding agents and internal tools to accelerate implementation and quality assurance.
• Lead through code reviews, documentation and clear architecture decisions, raising the capability of the whole team.

Required profile

• 5+ years building production web experiences with strong fundamentals in React and TypeScript.
• High visual and interaction sensibility, caring about typography, spacing, motion and responsive details.
• Hands‑on problem‑solver who inspects network traces, profiles slow interactions and ships fixes.
• Commercial judgment to balance engineering quality with marketing launch speed.
• Effective cross‑functional collaborator with Creative, Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Growth, Product Engineering and Data.
