Senior Tax Manager

About the role

Slomoi Immerman Partners (SIP), a Melbourne-based professional services firm delivering accounting, tax and advisory services, is looking for an experienced Senior Tax Manager. The role leads complex advisory matters, supports strong client relationships and contributes to the growth of SIP's tax consulting offering. You will work closely with the Taxation Directors, take ownership of significant consulting engagements, guide less experienced team members and help shape consistent, high-quality tax consulting delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage significant tax consulting engagements from scoping through to delivery
• Provide senior-level advice on structuring, transactions, tax planning and direct and indirect tax matters
• Lead client relationships and act as a senior contact on tax consulting matters
• Support ATO engagement, reviews, objections and other compliance-related tax matters
• Review technical work, advice and client communications prepared by other team members
• Coach and develop team members through delegation, feedback and technical guidance
• Work closely with Taxation Directors, referrers and broader client service teams

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in accounting, commerce, law or a related discipline
• CA, CPA or CTA qualification preferred
• 10+ years' tax consulting experience in a professional services environment
• Demonstrated experience managing complex tax advisory matters and reviewing technical work
• Experience coaching, supervising or developing team members
• Valid working rights in Australia
