Senior Tax Consultant / Assistant Manager – Tax Services

About the role

William Buck is seeking a Senior Tax Consultant or Assistant Manager to join its Tax Services team in Adelaide. You will work closely with mid‑market clients across diverse industries, delivering both advisory and compliance services while receiving tailored training to deepen your technical tax expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring accurate and timely tax compliance.
• Prepare income tax returns, FBT returns and other statutory obligations.
• Calculate tax effect accounting adjustments.
• Research tax issues and draft clear, actionable advice for clients.
• Coach and guide junior team members on day‑to‑day tasks.
• Contribute to internal technical training sessions for the Tax Services division and the wider firm.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• Progression towards or completion of CA, CPA, CTA, or MTax qualification.
• 2‑5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a Big‑Four or mid‑tier tax division.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
