Senior Talent Sourcer

About the role

Shield AI is a venture‑backed defense‑tech company that builds autonomous systems to protect service members and civilians. As the business expands across EMEA and APJ, we need a Senior Talent Sourcer who can translate complex, highly specialized hiring needs into precise sourcing strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with recruiters and hiring leaders to define target profiles and create data‑driven sourcing strategies for engineering and go‑to‑market roles.
• Develop comprehensive market maps by company, skillset, geography and organization to uncover hidden talent pools and emerging trends.
• Use advanced Boolean search and platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter, SeekOut, HireEZ, ClearanceJobs, and GitHub to identify and engage top technical candidates.
• Build and nurture long‑term pipelines of passive, cleared and niche engineering talent for just‑in‑time hiring.
• Design, implement and continuously improve AI‑powered sourcing workflows, research agents and automations to boost recruiter productivity.
• Coach recruiters and hiring managers on market insights, talent availability and best practices for candidate engagement.

Required profile

• 5+ years of talent sourcing experience, preferably in aerospace, defense, autonomy or similar hardware/software industries.
• Proven ability to conduct market mapping, competitive intelligence and generate candidates for highly specialized technical roles.
• Consultative partnership experience with recruiters, hiring managers and senior engineering leaders.
• Hands‑on experience building or leveraging AI‑driven sourcing workflows and automation tools.
• Strong communication, storytelling and data‑driven decision‑making skills.
