Senior Systems Engineer (Managed Services)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join a fast‑growing professional services team in Sydney. The role will involve delivering multiple client projects end‑to‑end, working closely with Solutions Architects and Project Leaders in a Managed Services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle of projects from scoping and design through deployment and handover.
• Produce and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including designs, implementation plans and operational guides.
• Collaborate with Solutions Architects and Project Leaders to define technical strategies and ensure alignment with client requirements.
• Coordinate with internal teams and clients to clarify requirements, manage timelines and mitigate risks.
• Monitor project progress, identify issues and drive continuous improvements.
• Support pre‑sales activities such as solution scoping, effort estimation and client presentations.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering projects in a Managed Services or Professional Services setting.
• Hands‑on delivery background – this is not a project‑manager role.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent documentation skills.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., AZ‑104, AZ‑500, MS‑102) are desirable.

• Infrastructure deployment and automation.
