Senior Systems Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our growing technology team in Adelaide. You will provide Level 3 technical support, lead infrastructure projects and mentor junior engineers while delivering high‑quality IT solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level 3 support across server, cloud, networking and end‑user environments.
• Design, implement and support IT infrastructure solutions and technical projects.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure, systems and network issues.
• Monitor, maintain and optimise client environments for performance, availability and security.
• Act as the escalation point for high‑priority incidents and complex service requests.
• Configure and administer Microsoft technologies, cloud platforms, identity services and backup solutions.
• Assist with secure network and infrastructure architecture design.
• Deliver projects on time, ensuring documentation, quality and compliance.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships through exceptional technical support.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, system configurations and procedures.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Extensive experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 suite.
• Strong knowledge of Azure services, Entra ID, Purview and Microsoft Defender.
• Hands‑on experience with WatchGuard firewalls and Veeam backup solutions.
• Solid understanding of network hardware, LAN infrastructure and zero‑trust concepts.
• Proficiency in assembling, troubleshooting and maintaining PC hardware.
• Ability to use performance monitoring and diagnostic tools.
