Senior Sourcing Engineer

About the role

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Sourcing Engineer to lead strategic supply network development and cost management for its defense hardware products. The role works closely with suppliers, engineering, quality and manufacturing teams to ensure timely, cost‑effective component procurement.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct supplier selection and partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development, including concept scoping, feature trade‑offs, TCO modeling and joint design development.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategy, manage BOM consolidation, and oversee NPI component procurement to scale manufacturing.
• Perform value‑stream mapping, BOM risk assessment, and component qualification to optimise lead time and flexibility.
• Lead cost engineering activities, manage CAPEX requests, and address ad‑hoc cost issues such as tariffs and inflation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical or related).
• Experience in design and development of mechanical or electronic devices and advanced sourcing activities.
• Background in supplier development, early supplier engagement and high‑mix, low‑volume product environments.
• Eligibility for Australian NV1 security clearance.
