Senior Solutions Architect

About the role

The Senior Solutions Architect will provide architectural leadership across a diverse technology landscape, shaping the future of software platforms, data solutions, cloud technologies and emerging capabilities. You will work closely with engineering leaders, product stakeholders and executive leadership to align technology outcomes with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead architectural strategy across software, data and technology platforms.
• Establish and maintain architecture governance, standards and best practices.
• Review and guide solution designs across multiple engineering teams.
• Develop architecture roadmaps aligned to business and technology objectives.
• Facilitate architecture workshops and technical design sessions.
• Support adoption of modern cloud and distributed architecture patterns.
• Partner with engineering teams to improve scalability, performance, security and maintainability.

Required profile

• Experience operating in complex, fast‑paced environments such as defence, health‑tech, SaaS or large enterprise transformation programs.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities and influence both business and technical functions.
• Pragmatic approach to architecture, balancing strategic thinking with delivery outcomes.

Required skills

• Event‑driven, message‑driven or microservices architectures.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Software platforms, data platforms and enterprise technology ecosystems.
• Solution architecture, technology strategy and architectural governance.
• C4 modelling and modern architecture documentation practices.
