Senior Software Tester

About the role

Leidos Australia is seeking a Senior Software Tester to join the Mission Software Solutions team in Scoresby, Victoria (or Canberra). You will work on mission‑critical software for Defence, Intelligence and Government customers, ensuring high‑quality delivery across the full testing lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Review requirements for testability, develop test strategies, plans, cases and procedures.
• Execute functional, integration, system, regression and acceptance testing, both manual and automated.
• Analyse results, manage defects, establish traceability and produce clear test reports and metrics.
• Collaborate with developers, architects and stakeholders to verify defect resolution and support verification & validation activities.

Required profile

• Australian citizen with an active NV‑2 or TSPV clearance.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and ability to communicate testing outcomes to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary, fast‑paced Agile delivery environments.

Required skills

• Software testing across SDLC phases, test plan and case development.
• Defect identification, tracking and verification using test management tools.
• Automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipeline experience (advantageous).
• Knowledge of enterprise/web‑based applications, performance/load testing and systems engineering principles.
