Senior Software Engineer (Tech Lead)

About the role

This senior engineering position acts as the second‑in‑command of the development team, balancing hands‑on coding with technical leadership. The role steps in whenever the tech lead is unavailable, ensuring continuous delivery and team momentum.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of features for the Learning Portal and related services, from scoping to shipping.
• Propose technical approaches, write design docs, and align recommendations with the team and tech lead.
• Provide thorough, constructive code reviews and keep the team unblocked during working hours.
• Participate in sprint planning with realistic estimates, surface risks, and flag technical debt early.
• Maintain test coverage where it matters and keep documentation up to date for owned systems.
• Apply InnerSource principles: clear docs, async‑first collaboration, and modular design.
