Senior Software Engineer

About the role

Join ServiceNow's Impact Engineering team to design and develop scalable, reliable software that powers AI‑native experiences for millions of users. You will work across the stack, collaborating with product managers and engineers to deliver high‑impact products.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full‑stack software using modern UI frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue.
• Partner with product managers to translate requirements into well‑architected solutions and own features end‑to‑end.
• Embed automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and quality practices across functional, integration, regression and performance testing.
• Troubleshoot complex systems, optimise performance, and improve reliability, observability and production readiness.

Required profile

• 6+ years of software engineering experience delivering high‑quality products.
• Experience integrating AI tools or workflows and applying critical thinking to improve processes.
• Australian citizenship and ability to obtain a Government Baseline Security Clearance.

Required skills

• Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, Java or similar object‑oriented languages.
• Experience with front‑end frameworks: React, Angular, Vue.
• Strong foundations in data structures, algorithms, OOP design and design patterns.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development tools.
