Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack)

About the role

Mosh & Moshy builds health programs covering hair loss, sexual health, skin care, mental health and weight management, and is growing its Sydney-based engineering team. It is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for a full-stack role: you may lean front-end or back-end, but you should be capable on both sides, and back-end-leaning engineers are particularly well suited. As a senior engineer you will shape how the product is built, lead projects, make pragmatic technical decisions and help raise engineering standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and own the main patient-facing components of the platform
• Lead on complex technical challenges and make data-informed engineering decisions
• Deliver reliable product capabilities from design through to production, working with Product, Design and Data
• Contribute to AI tooling and workflows to raise team velocity
• Improve testing, deployment and monitoring practices and share knowledge

Required profile

• 6+ years of software engineering experience building user-facing products
• Proven full-stack experience shipping production web applications end to end
• Strong front-end expertise with React and Next.js
• Deep back-end experience in at least one modern stack; Ruby on Rails and Kotlin with Micronaut are used, and you will be expected to get up to speed on both
• Experience running production workloads on AWS, with knowledge of distributed systems and event-driven architecture (messaging, streaming, eventual consistency)
• Candidates who can regularly collaborate from the Surry Hills office are prioritised; Sydney-based people typically spend three days (M, W, F) in the office

• AWS
• OpenAPI or AsyncAPI, Kafka or SNS/SQS, Terraform, Datadog, CI/CD and performance/resiliency testing are highly regarded
