Senior Software Engineer (Backend)

About the role

Paradino is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to own and evolve the Python services that power its AI‑driven advice platform. You will work closely with the founding team to shape architecture, build fast and reliable APIs, and ensure the platform scales as the business grows.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python, FastAPI, and async programming.
• Implement data models, document generation, and integrations with third‑party systems via REST, webhooks, and OAuth.
• Manage cloud infrastructure on GCP, including containers, queues, background jobs, and observability tooling.
• Collaborate with AI engineers to incorporate LLM APIs, structured outputs, and tool‑calling patterns.

Required profile

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience delivering production systems for paying customers.
• Strong security mindset when handling sensitive data and access controls.
• Comfortable making technical decisions in a fast‑moving, small team environment.

Required skills

• Python (deep expertise), FastAPI, Pydantic, async programming.
• PostgreSQL and relational data modelling.
• API design, REST, webhooks, OAuth.
• Google Cloud Platform, containers, queues, background jobs, observability tools.
• Experience with AI coding assistants such as Claude Code or Codex and familiarity with LLM APIs.
• Basic TypeScript knowledge for occasional frontend collaboration.
