Senior Site Reliability Engineer – Hosted Infra

About the role

Elastic is looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to help build, scale and evolve multi‑cloud infrastructure that powers Elastic Cloud. You will work on automation, reliability and observability across dozens of cloud regions and thousands of hosts.

Key responsibilities

• Engineer software to automate large‑scale systems and build internal tools and services.
• Optimize reliability and lifecycle of hosts across multiple cloud providers.
• Design and implement alerting and monitoring systems to drive incident prevention.
• Scale global infrastructure and evolve management processes to meet growing demand.
• Participate in on‑call rotation, incident response, runbook improvement and post‑mortems.

Required profile

• Production experience operating large‑scale cloud compute (hundreds of hosts) via automated workflows.
• Deep Linux expertise and comfort debugging at the OS level.
• Proficiency in Go (Golang) and ability to review code constructively.
• Experience with containerized workloads in production.
• Customer‑first, systems‑thinking approach to operational problems.
