Senior Site Manager

About the role

EPECEPEC Group is seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to lead the delivery of a large‑scale 275kV HV substation, transmission line and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in the Fraser Coast region. This site‑based role is responsible for end‑to‑end delivery, ensuring safety, schedule, budget and compliance with all contractual, technical and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full site execution across civil, structural, HV electrical, mechanical, SCADA and commissioning phases.
• Manage multiple work fronts and complex SIMOPS environments for substation, transmission line and BESS works.
• Develop and execute detailed short‑term work plans, coordinating labour, plant, materials and craneage.
• Identify risks, implement mitigation strategies and maintain programme integrity.
• Oversee subcontractor performance, progress claims, budgets and cost‑to‑complete.
• Champion a zero‑harm safety culture, ensure WHS compliance, and manage SWMS, permits and high‑risk work controls.
• Drive quality assurance, inspections and compliance with Australian standards.
• Act as the primary on‑site interface with clients, network providers, engineers and commissioning teams.
• Lead, mentor and plan the workforce of supervisors, engineers and subcontractors.
• Coordinate pre‑commissioning, testing, energisation and handover documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 + years’ experience in HV substation construction (132kV–500kV preferred) and large‑scale infrastructure or BESS delivery.
• Proven track record managing complex, multi‑disciplinary site operations and multiple subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and industry standards.
