Senior Service Technician

About the role

Torishima Australia is seeking an experienced Senior Service Technician to join its Melbourne branch. The role involves hands‑on service, repair and overhaul of centrifugal pumps and compressors, both in the workshop and on‑site across the East Coast.

Key responsibilities

• Perform service, maintenance and overhaul of general‑purpose and heavy‑duty pumps and compressors to API standards.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and execute high‑quality repairs in the workshop and at customer sites.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards and the AFH Integrated Management System.
• Collaborate with engineering, sales and support teams to provide technical feedback on equipment performance.
• Maintain detailed service reports, inspection documentation and job records for warranty and traceability.

Required profile

• Certificate III in Engineering or equivalent trade qualification.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience servicing pumps and compressors.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel interstate.
• Right to work in Australia.
• Professional communication skills and a strong safety mindset.

Required skills

• Knowledge of API standards (e.g., API 610, API 685, API 675, API 618).
• Ability to diagnose and repair rotating equipment.
• Experience with pump and compressor assembly, testing and commissioning.
