Senior Remedial Building Engineer

About the role

TBE Solutions, a Sydney-based consultancy specialising in remedial building and engineering solutions for residential and commercial buildings, is hiring a full-time, permanent Senior Remedial Building Engineer. The role involves helping bring new life to old and new buildings affected by defects such as cracking, concrete spalling, waterproofing issues, design defects and dilapidation, with room to grow and potentially become a team leader.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections, identify, photograph and document building defects and related on-site issues
• Compile detailed building defect, condition and technical reports
• Recommend general building repairs and prepare scope of works documentation for tenders
• Manage tenders, contracts and projects

Required profile

• Civil or structural engineering background
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar consulting firm
• Knowledge of the remedial building industry and experience preparing building reports
• Familiarity with relevant building codes and Australian Standards
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to multitask, work independently and manage work sites
