Senior Relationship Credit Manager

About the role

ANZ’s Business & Private Bank is seeking a Senior Relationship Credit Manager for its Agribusiness portfolio. Based in Melbourne, you will work with a diverse range of agribusiness clients, from broadacre farmers to large dairy aggregations and luxury wine brands, providing credit assessments and solutions that support their growth.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Relationship Managers and the wider team to manage a portfolio of large, complex agribusiness customers.
• Conduct thorough credit analyses and structure credit proposals in line with internal policies and risk guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with Group Audit, QA and audit standards, addressing any issues promptly.
• Exercise relationship credit approval discretion where appropriate.
• Provide customer‑centric financing solutions and advise on suitable credit options.

Required profile

• Significant experience in credit management, preferably within agribusiness or related sectors.
• Strong analytical and judgment skills for credit risk assessment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with relationship teams and external clients.
• Knowledge of credit policies, scoring models and regulatory requirements.
• Proven track record of managing large, complex portfolios.

Required skills

• Credit analysis and structuring.
• Understanding of agribusiness operations (preferred).
• Familiarity with internal credit policies and audit compliance.
