About the role

Perigon Group, a specialist recruitment firm expanding in Melbourne, is seeking a Senior Recruitment Consultant to lead its Finance & Accounting practice. The role combines end‑to‑end 360° recruitment with business development and mentorship responsibilities, offering a clear pathway to leadership within a fast‑growing boutique backed by an ASX‑listed group.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end 360° recruitment across the Finance & Accounting vertical.
• Lead business development, identifying, winning and growing key client relationships.
• Conduct client meetings, negotiate terms and manage commercial discussions.
• Mentor and support junior consultants, contributing to team performance and culture.
• Build and present high‑quality shortlists with market insights and recommendations.
• Partner across divisions to maximise cross‑selling opportunities.
• Contribute to thought leadership, networking events and Perigon’s market presence.
• Share market intelligence, salary data and insights internally and with clients.

Required profile

• Proven 360° recruitment experience in a professional services or commercial environment.
• Background in Finance and Accounting recruitment.
• Strong client relationship, negotiation and commercial acumen.
• Experience mentoring others or a clear appetite for leadership.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
