Senior React Native Engineer

About the role

An established product engineering team is looking for a Senior React Native Engineer to work on a customer-facing, banking-style mobile application. The core architecture, authentication and component library are already in place, so the focus is on building and shipping new customer-facing features across iOS and Android while keeping strong standards for performance, reliability and code quality. This is a hands-on senior role suited to someone who can quickly understand an established mobile environment and take ownership of features end-to-end.

Key responsibilities

• Build and deliver new features within an established React Native mobile application
• Take features from requirements and design through development, testing and release
• Work within the existing application architecture, authentication model and component library
• Integrate mobile features with APIs and backend services
• Maintain high-quality, reusable and maintainable mobile components
• Contribute to code reviews, technical discussions and engineering decisions
• Collaborate closely with product, design and engineering teams
• Support production releases across iOS and Android
• Troubleshoot and resolve mobile application issues

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience with React Native
• Proven experience shipping production applications across iOS and Android
• Experience delivering feature-rich, customer-facing mobile products
• Ability to independently take ownership of features from development through to release
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to contribute quickly with minimal ramp-up
