Senior Rail Project Manager – Sydney/Brisbane

About the role

CJC Management is looking for experienced Rail Project Managers and Senior Project Managers to lead major rail infrastructure programmes across Australia. Working on a client‑side advisory platform, you will partner with government agencies, operators, contractors and designers throughout the full project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Manage or support delivery of large‑scale rail infrastructure projects and programmes.
• Coordinate scope, schedule, risk, budget and reporting requirements.
• Assist with procurement, tender evaluation and contract administration.
• Maintain stakeholder relationships across government, operators, contractors and consultants.
• Participate in constructability reviews, staging assessments and delivery planning.
• Support governance, project controls and reporting frameworks.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and consultants, providing mentorship and client advisory services for senior candidates.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience on rail, transport or major infrastructure projects.
• Background in client‑side, advisory, contractor or consultancy environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Understanding of project controls, governance, programme and risk management.
