Senior Psychologist

About the role

A private clinic in Springwood, Brisbane, is looking for an experienced, passionate Senior Psychologist to join its multidisciplinary team. The psychologist works with children, teens and adults, supporting neurodivergent clients, complex families and trauma presentations. Less experienced psychologists are also welcome if they have experience in a private practice.

Key responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based therapy, including CBT, DBT, ACT, Schema Therapy, IFS, EMDR and psychodynamic approaches.
• Work with neurodivergent individuals, including clients with Autism and ADHD.
• Provide trauma-informed care.
• Support families in complex situations, including separation, blended families and attachment trauma.
• Offer optional assessments such as Autism, ADHD, cognitive and learning difficulty assessments.
• Collaborate with caregivers and other professionals in a multidisciplinary team.
• Work with referrals from NDIS, Medicare and private paying clients.

Required profile

• Registered with AHPRA as a General, Clinical or Educational and Developmental Psychologist.
• 2+ years of post-registration experience in a busy private practice; less experienced candidates are welcome with private practice experience.
• Strong therapy skills, time management and documentation abilities.
• Understanding of ethical and legal considerations, especially with minors and complex families.
• Proactive, independent and able to adapt therapy to developmental needs; playfulness is key with children.

• Salary of $95,000 to $130,000 per year plus 12% superannuation, with a consistent weekly paycheck, paid leave and benefits.
