About the role
A major organisation in the critical infrastructure sector, moving from design into implementation across several programs of work, is looking for a Senior Project Manager. - Develop and review Statements of Work (SOWs) with vendors, procurement, legal and commercial teams.
- Manage external vendors, challenge missed commitments, resolve delivery issues and ensure contractual obligations are met.
- Develop detailed project schedules, including critical paths, dependencies and milestones.
- Define scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones and acceptance criteria.
- Identify and manage risks, issues and dependencies across multiple projects and the wider technology program.
- Coordinate technical and business stakeholders so solutions are properly designed, tested and handed over to operations.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, financial commitments and commercial change.
- Set up project governance, reporting and delivery controls, and report progress, risks and decisions to senior stakeholders.
Required profile
- Demonstrable experience managing complex technology projects across the full lifecycle.
- Previous roles in critical infrastructure, enterprise asset management, energy, utilities, construction, engineering or other regulated industries.
- Experience with business cases, initiation, planning, vendor engagement, implementation and closure.
- Experience managing project budgets, risks, issues, change control and governance.
- Experience developing SOWs and working with procurement, legal and commercial teams.
- Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple technology workstreams.
Required skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication and strong relationship skills.
- Confidence in challenging vendors, managing their performance and holding stakeholders accountable.
- Ability to work independently in a challenging, fast-paced, lean environment.
What we offer
- Opportunity to contribute to a significant greenfield technology transformation.
- Broad exposure to complex technology initiatives and senior stakeholders.
- Genuine autonomy to influence requirements, delivery approaches and business outcomes.
