Senior Project Manager – Higher Education Digital Transformation

About the role
This 12‑month contract position supports a large higher‑education institution in Sydney that is undergoing a major digital transformation. The Senior Project Manager will lead two strategic digital programmes that enhance the student experience across a complex, federated technology landscape.
Key responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end delivery of complex digital initiatives across multiple workstreams.
- Align product vision, delivery execution and business outcomes.
- Coordinate Agile, cross‑functional and multi‑team delivery.
- Engage and influence senior stakeholders throughout a decentralised ecosystem.
- Establish governance, design authority and operating models.
- Drive change, training and adoption to ensure successful implementation.
- Maintain discipline over scope, risk, budget and timelines.
- Report progress and outcomes clearly to senior leadership.
Required profile
- 10+ years of project management experience, primarily in digital delivery.
- Proven track record delivering platform‑based or digital transformation programmes.
- Experience in higher‑education or similarly federated organisations.
- Ability to navigate high‑ambiguity environments with shared ownership.
- Strong senior stakeholder engagement and influence skills.
