Senior Project Manager - Demolition

About the role

A well-established, market-leading civil contractor with blue-chip clients is recruiting a Senior Project Manager - Demolition through its recruitment partner. The role covers demolition projects in the CBD and Greater Melbourne, with values from $1m to $20m+, and involves running one large project or two to three smaller ones. The position is a delivery-focused project manager role, with no need for estimating experience, and combines work at head office with site visits.

Key responsibilities

• Work on tenders
• Plan and schedule construction activities
• Manage site project teams
• Handle quality assurance, cost and time management
• Prepare management reports
• Resolve site issues promptly
• Liaise with key clients and stakeholders
• Coordinate internal and external resources
• Contribute to business development
• Recruit and mentor teams

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or similar
• 5 to 15+ years of management experience on demolition and civil construction projects valued at $1m to $20m+
• Proven demolition experience; previous delivery of a $20m+ demolition project as a project manager is ideal
• Proven understanding of construction with a hands-on approach
• Proven ability to lead, delegate, solve problems, resolve conflict and manage client expectations
• Strong organisation, time management, verbal and written communication skills
