Senior Project Manager (Customer Projects)

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is recruiting a Senior Project Manager in Sydney, working onsite at a customer's premises up to four days a week. The role leads customer projects and programs to meet scope, time, budget and quality expectations, and acts as a subject matter expert for complex business issues.

Key responsibilities

• Manage customer projects, including large, complex or multi-region ones, with detailed design of sponsors' high-level concepts and high-risk deliverables.
• Manage project financials, meeting or exceeding approved budgets and providing reliable financial forecasts to management.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, including steering meetings and monthly business reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage a team of more than 20 people from multiple countries, mentor team members and give performance review feedback.
• Identify risks and change requests, develop mitigation plans and handle changes according to governance processes.
• Represent the organisation to external customers and clients, and guide process improvements and policy establishment.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
• PMP/PMI and/or MSP certification preferred.
• Typically 8-10 years of experience in program and project management or similar roles.
• Experience delivering projects for Telco and service provider customers, and for IT networking projects, is highly desired.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and the local language, and ability to negotiate at senior management level.

Required skills

• Extensive use of project and program planning tools and software.
• Proficiency in Agile, Scrum and Waterfall frameworks.
• Experience delivering large-scale network projects in the service provider, Telco and enterprise space.
