Senior Project Manager (Customer Projects)

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is recruiting a Senior Project Manager in Sydney, working onsite at a customer's premises up to four days a week. The role leads customer projects and programs, meeting scope, time, budget and quality expectations, and acts as a subject matter expert for complex business issues.

Key responsibilities

• Manage customer projects, including large, complex or multi-region ones, with detailed design of sponsors' concepts and high-risk delivery
• Manage project financials, meet or exceed approved budgets and provide reliable financial forecasts to management
• Manage stakeholder relationships, including steering meetings and monthly business reviews
• Manage internal and external resources, typically a team of more than 20 people across multiple countries, and mentor team members
• Identify risks and change requests, develop mitigation plans and handle changes under governance processes
• Represent the organisation to external customers and clients, and guide process improvements and policy establishment

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
• PMP/PMI and/or MSP certification preferred
• Typically 8-10 years of experience in program and project management or similar roles
• Experience delivering projects for Telco and service provider customers, and for IT networking projects, highly desired
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and the local language, with negotiation skills at senior management level
