Senior Project Manager – Automated Warehousing

About the role

Dematic, a global leader in intelligent intralogistics, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large‑scale, complex automated warehousing and material handling system projects across Australia. Based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane, you will own the full project lifecycle from contract award to commissioning and handover.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of project delivery, reviewing contracts, defining scope, milestones and deliverables.
• Develop and manage integrated project schedules with a critical‑path focus.
• Manage budgets, cost forecasts, variations and commercial risks.
• Drive procurement, supplier commitments and subcontractor performance.
• Lead risk, change and issue management, including delays and scope changes.
• Support FAT, SAT, commissioning and customer acceptance testing.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Project Management or related discipline.
• Proven experience delivering large‑scale engineering, automation or MHS projects.
• Strong commercial acumen across contracts, budgets and cost control.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites locally and interstate.

Required skills

• Proficiency with project planning tools such as MS Project.
• Ability to interpret AutoCAD layouts and system designs.
