Senior Project Engineer - Mining Projects

About the role

GR Engineering Services Limited (GRES), a process engineering consulting and contracting company serving the mining and mineral processing industries, is looking for experienced Senior Project Engineers to join its Project Team. Based in the Brisbane office, you will work with a multidisciplinary team on projects across commodities such as gold, copper and iron ore, with regular site visits depending on project needs.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and schedule the scope of work, including labour, delivery of equipment and materials
• Produce accurate design documentation
• Assist with procurement and expediting
• Manage packages and schedules
• Review and prepare ITPs and FIRs
• Follow up with logistics on timely delivery of materials and equipment
• Prepare requests for quotations and tenders, bid evaluations and purchase requisitions

Required profile

• Relevant engineering qualification (Civil, Mechanical, Structural or Electrical)
• Minimum 6+ years of experience, particularly in the mineral resource or materials handling industries
• Ability to liaise with stakeholders to produce and review contract packages
• Current national police clearance and White Card
• Full and unrestricted Australian working rights

• Familiarity with scheduling and project controls systems
• Contract package preparation and review
