Project Manager - Mining EPC Projects

About the role

GR Engineering Services Limited (GRES), a process engineering consulting and contracting company serving the mining and mineral processing industries, is looking for experienced Project Managers to join its Brisbane-based project team. The role manages and delivers EPC or EPCM projects across commodities such as gold, copper and iron ore, with regular site visits depending on project needs.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and lead the culture on site for a large multidisciplinary team
• Oversee all construction operations, leading site works from commencement to handover
• Drive budget, schedule and overall project delivery
• Liaise with client representatives and maintain a good client-contractor relationship
• Enforce safe work practices, ensure personnel are trained and supported and meet HSE standards
• Review site plans as construction progresses
• Assess project risks and put mitigation measures in place
• Ensure compliance with GRES and client policies, company standards and safe work procedures

Required profile

• At least 10 years of experience in a construction or project management role
• Qualified professional engineering and/or trades-skilled background
• Previous design management or construction management experience, especially in the mineral resource or materials handling industries
• Knowledge of current construction and mining industry safety legislation and standards
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, proven leadership skills
• Current national police clearance and full, unrestricted Australian working rights
