Senior Product Manager – Fraud & Scams

About the role

As Senior Product Manager – Fraud & Scams you will lead the development and evolution of products that protect Australians and the national payments ecosystem from fraud and scams. You will own the full product lifecycle, from problem identification through to launch and ongoing optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Define product strategy, roadmap and business cases based on market insight, customer feedback and performance data.
• Develop and deliver capabilities addressing card fraud, account‑to‑account scams, real‑time payments, transaction monitoring and recovery.
• Lead cross‑functional delivery teams, manage backlogs and ensure measurable value throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with member organisations, fraud teams and senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• 3+ years experience as a Senior Product Manager in payments, banking or fintech.
• Deep expertise in fraud and scams, including card‑present, card‑not‑present, digital wallets, tokenisation, disputes and chargebacks.
• Strong knowledge of account‑to‑account fraud, APP scams, account takeover, mule activity and real‑time payment systems.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders without formal authority and to translate complex fraud challenges into scalable product solutions.
