Senior Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer – APAC

About the role

Deepgram is expanding its APAC footprint and is looking for a Senior Pre‑Sales Solutions Engineer based in Australia. You will own technical discovery, design proofs‑of‑concept and drive adoption for strategic accounts across the region, partnering closely with Account Executives from discovery through production launch.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery for strategic opportunities, mapping business goals to measurable technical success criteria.
• Design, scope and execute POCs, defining datasets, metrics and timelines that demonstrate clear technical wins.
• Build lightweight prototypes, sample integrations and demos using Deepgram SDKs and APIs.
• Advise customers on architecture for accuracy, latency, scalability and cost across cloud, self‑hosted, hybrid and data‑residency scenarios.
• Run security and compliance threads for APAC regulations (e.g., Singapore PDPA, Japan APPI, Korea PIPA, Australia’s Privacy Act).
• Tri­age and debug issues during evaluations, collaborating with Product, Engineering and Support.
• Create reusable assets such as reference architectures, runbooks and field guides.
• Partner with Solutions Architects and Support to ensure seamless continuity after initial wins and during expansion phases.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering or a similar customer‑facing pre‑sales technical role.
• Professional software engineering experience in at least one language such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Python or Rust.
• Hands‑on experience with modern cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes and secure API design.
• Proven track record leading enterprise POCs and delivering technical wins.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for both technical and executive audiences.
