Senior Platform Engineer

About the role

Blinq, an AI contacts app used by 4 million professionals, is hiring a Senior Platform Engineer. The role owns the systems, pipelines and tooling between an idea and a shipped feature, covering iOS, Android and TypeScript web and backend services on Google Cloud. It blends SRE work (observability patterns, tooling and AI assistance) with developer experience (CI/CD, internal tools, vulnerability management) and AI enablement in the engineering workflow.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the SRE team to make observability self-serve: patterns, libraries, templates and AI-assisted workflows for RUM, APM, metrics and logging in Datadog
• Speed up and make more reliable CI/CD across web, backend, iOS and Android, including caching, parallelism, flaky-test detection and mobile release automation
• Provide fast, easy isolated environments for work in progress, and pair with QA to integrate automated testing
• Own the inner loop: local and cloud environments, seed data, scaffolding and templates so new engineers and coding agents are productive on day one
• Build internal tools, retire unused ones, and partner with product engineers on their blockers
• Set standards for AI tool use, environments, context and guardrails, and roll out AI where it genuinely improves efficiency
• Evolve Google Cloud infrastructure through IaC, streamline vulnerability detection and management, and bring a security-first lens to everything shipped

Required profile

• Around 5 or more years in platform, developer productivity, DevOps, SRE or infrastructure roles, with a track record of making other engineers faster
• Hands-on experience with a major cloud (GCP preferred) and infrastructure as code
• Security mindset: thinking about threat surface, secrets and access by default, and familiarity with vulnerability management
• AI fluency: daily use of tools such as Claude Code, Cursor or Copilot, with built workflows and guardrails
• Collaborative, pairing-oriented style; strong ownership and a bias toward simple solutions

Required skills

• CI/CD pipelines, ideally including mobile (iOS and/or Android) builds and releases
• Ephemeral environments and end-to-end test automation; mobile UI testing frameworks a plus
• Observability (RUM, APM, metrics, logs); Datadog experience is an advantage
• Comfort in a TypeScript codebase and willingness to move across stacks
