Senior Platform Engineer

About the role

MissionSkip is building Australia’s fastest, most intelligent home‑loan platform. As the first dedicated platform and security hire, you will ensure the platform is secure, reliable and observable by default, automating away manual effort.

Key responsibilities

• Design and operate cloud infrastructure, security posture and reliability for core lending systems.
• Own the CI/CD pipeline, preview environments and deployment controls to enable safe, frequent releases.
• Manage corporate IT fleet – zero‑touch device provisioning, MDM, identity lifecycle and endpoint security.
• Lead platform security: least‑privilege IAM, secrets management, network segmentation, vulnerability scanning and incident response.
• Define and test disaster recovery, business continuity and reliability targets.

Required profile

• 6+ years in DevOps, platform, security or operations‑heavy engineering, with end‑to‑end ownership experience.
• Proven track record building and securing production AWS environments in regulated settings.
• Strong systems thinking; habit of automating repetitive toil rather than speeding it up.
• Comfortable treating corporate IT and device‑fleet management as an automation problem.
