Senior Physiotherapist - Integrated Care Rehabilitation (Hervey Bay and Maryborough)

About the role

Queensland Health is recruiting a Senior Physiotherapist for the Integrated Care Rehabilitation Service at Hervey Bay and Maryborough Hospitals in the Wide Bay. The role provides high-level physiotherapy clinical services to patients on the Transition Care Program, supports patient recovery and improves functional outcomes for older people who have been discharged after an acute or sub-acute episode of care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high-level physiotherapy clinical services to patients on the Transition Care Program as part of the Integrated Care Rehabilitation Service.
• Lead and manage the allied health assistants within the multidisciplinary Integrated Care Rehabilitation Service.
• Provide clinical practice supervision and clinical development to junior physiotherapists and allied health assistants.
• Develop physiotherapy programs for the rehabilitation of older people discharged after acute or sub-acute care, and prevent inappropriate or avoidable admissions to acute care or permanent residential aged care.
• Supervise Allied Health Assistants in implementing delegated therapy programs.

What we offer

• Salary of $132,690 to $142,317 per year, with employer superannuation contribution of up to 12.75% and annual leave loading of 17.5%.
