Clinical Nurse (Cardiac Rehabilitation Coordinator)

About the role

Integrated Care Rehabilitation Services at Hervey Bay and Maryborough Hospitals is recruiting a Clinical Nurse (Cardiac Rehabilitation Coordinator) in the Wide Bay. The nurse supports patients recovering after cardiac events, helping them improve their heart health, build confidence and achieve better long-term outcomes. The role covers clinical care, leadership, management, education and/or research within the Cardiac Rehabilitation program.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert, patient-centred clinical care within the Integrated Care Rehabilitation Service, supporting quality and cost-effective nursing services consistent with contemporary standards and evidence-informed practice.
• Own a portfolio focused on Cardiac Rehabilitation clinical care, leadership, management, education and/or research.
• Practice autonomously, applying critical thinking and leading clinical decision-making to give and/or coordinate care for clients in the Cardiac Rehabilitation program.

Required profile

• Nurse Grade 6 (1); permanent full-time position of 76 hours per fortnight.
• Applications are encouraged from First Nations nurses and midwives in line with Health Equity strategies.
